At each side of my bed there is an atomic clock. They have a built in crystal oscillator frequency of 32.786Hz and a time accuracy (atomic clock) better than 1 second in 2-million years. When the battery runs out I intend to return it to John Lewis and demand a battery that lasts 2-million years. What are my chances? (I would settle for a battery that lasts 20-years.)
And the clocks went forward today so I thought I'd catch it out; but no, the bugger knew what was going on and Fulmaya said to me, "It's 7 o'clock. Did you put it forward?"
"No, it's an atomic clock."
"What's that?"
Well, I couldn't explain that , especially at 6am, or was it 7am BST?
